Picked up my "new" 1949 Hudson Super Six in Reno this morning. Unfortunately we got only down to just north of Carson City before an overheating problem developed. Fortunately, we met a nice mechanic in Carson City who was helpful but I didn't really trust the car to go over the pass. It's about to be loaded onto tow truck two for today to head back to SF.
Here's some pics anyhow. She still looks good.
My wife was less than amused when, at one point when I needed to send a work email, I asked whether we should see if the brothels have business centers. Well, they might, right?

I'm eternally grateful to Pixar for introducing me to the Hudson Hornet (which this is close enough to in my book). What a beautiful car.

Too bad the great road trip didn't work the whole way - but at least you now have Hudson in Hand. I thought your Hudson was somewhere other than Nevada, though...?

I had to ship it from Indy to Reno due to time constraints - but I'm glad I did, since otherwise I'd have broken down in St. Louis or the like.
